Search queries - rapid setup of new searches
Upon login to capstats.com you are presented with the new search screen. From here, queries on the database can be quickly setup and run by selecting only a few optional criteria including time period, carrier, equipment type and origin and destination regions.
You're also able to load any previous studies from this screen, so building up a selection of standard reports is both easy and accessible.
Results table - easily filterable
Once a study has been run you arrive at the results table. Initially the basic details are shown, but by using the simple filters at the top of the screen users are able to rapidly drill down to the smaller details by airline, origin and destination.
One can also optionally display ASK figures, and as soon as CO2 figures are loaded (early Q3 2011) you'll be able to display emissions by airline, route and aircraft level.
Time-series - noticing trends
The ability to display the outputs graphically greatly enhances your ability to present trends in data from the system. Capstats.com uses the FusionCharts flash technology to produce eyecatching time-series graphs which can display departures, seats, average capacity and ASKs.
Comparison - enhancing presentation
FusionCharts is again used to produce comparison bar charts of the same variables in the data.
Display the data by carrier, equipment, from airport and to airport using the filters at the top of the page.
