Economics - Single route 'via' study
The single route study is the primary form of route evaluation. The 'study summary' provides an overview of performance, displaying revenue, costs and profit, plus other key figures.
Breakeven costs are always visible at the bottom-left of the screen, whilst the top-right graphics panel features various charts of the main variables including passengers, contribution and profit. The green edit panel is where costs, revenues and basic year 1-4 projections can be changed for different scenarios.
Economics - Benchmarking
The benchmarking function is very useful for evaluating up to three different airline/aircraft combinations on a given route. Basic comparisons can be made between the passengers and average fare across various load factors, as well as the essential costs.
Once you have identified best options, any of the three airline/ aircraft combinations can then be launched into a full study for more detailed analysis.
Network - 'Overview'
On opening up a network you will arrive at the Network Manager 'Overview' page. This is much like a single route study of the economics module, in that it provides a good overview of the performance of the network as whole.
Differences include the addition of a 'top/bottom 5' box to show the best and worst performing routes, as well as a greater number of filtering options in the edit box.
Network - 'Base Data'
The 'Manager' area of the network module has various editing capabilities, and Base Data is one of those pages. If you've setup a network from a spreadsheet, you can edit the data that was uploaded - passengers, frequency and fare - from right inside the system.
Network - 'Summary'
Network 'Viewer' provides the means for more top-level analysis, with a range of features that allow for easier and quicker analysis of the whole network.
'Summary' is the entrance page to the section, and gives a 'Monthly Topline' - headlines about your network, and below it a basic dashboard showing performance across the years for different variables, as well as shares by airline and country.
Network - 'Airline Dashboard'
Viewer also features three 'dashboards' - network, airline and country - where you can quickly visualise and drilldown on variables that demonstrate the performance of the network.
Users can analyse on comparison charts, time-series and bar graphs. It is the ideal way to understand where the network is performing and where it is not.
